Youth2Youth Mission is to create a drug free community that will harness the powerful influence of youth and adult partnerships through education and advocacy.

Youth2Youth Vision is to create drug free communities for generations to come.

We have a firm belief that you must start at the beginning and finish to the end. This meaning that education has to start before birth from expectant mothers to adults to create change. The whole social culture must be educated to create positive community change.

That is why our coalition youth advocacy education efforts are created to start young (2nd grade) and follow a young person consistently for many years (throughout high school). This is not a one shot education effort, it is designed to continually send a message about substance abuse and create a behavior and environmental change for the youth involved.

There are many program areas of Youth2Youth that Rock County youth can participate in, they are;

NIKE: Nicotine Is Kids Enemy a middle school peer advocate program. Middle school age youth are trained to share a tobacco free message with elementary youth and to give them the tools to help someone they care about quit smoking and how to protect themselves again second hand smoke exposure.

Y2Y: Youth2Youth a high school peer advocate program. Teens are educated to the harmful effects oftobacco use and underage drinking. They also learn the manipulative techniques the tobacco and alcohol industry uses to leer them into using their deadly products. The teens then share their knowledge with middle and high school youth and train them how to advocate for change.

FACT: is a youth driven movement with the mission of turning the tables on corporate tobacco by exposing their lies. Youth become involved in advocacy programs and take a stand against an industry that uses youth to make a killer of a profit.

LAD - Latinos Against Drugs a program designed to outreach to the Latino population from ages 4 -adults. Teen advocates educate youth and adults about the dangers of tobacco use and how to actively get involved to make a social change in the Latino culture.

ATI: Above the Influence Social Marketing is a primary focus for our efforts this year. Monthly Drug Free events are planned by youth members.

Coalition (youth/adult partnership): Our coalition of community residents and organizations meet monthly to brainstorm and form an action plan to help our communities and the county reduce youth substance use. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 12 - 1:30 p.m.
